Buying used scanners
Scanners can be purchased second hand from camera
shops and from internet sources, for example ebay.
The problem with purchasing second hand is that
you will not know for certain what life the scanner has had.
Scanners are sensitive devices and subject to wear and tear,
they also attract dust.
Getting a scanner repaired or serviced is not
cheap. In our opinion it is safer to buy new and have a
manufacturers guarantee.
